Our Leadership Team
Cim Cave is a Head Veterinary Assistant for Hometown and has been working with Dr. Melanie Smith since March 2001. She resides in King George, VA where she lives with her husband, Robert and 21 year old son, Sean. She has 2 dogs- Bam and Barney who she loves very much.
Camille Speckhard is the Head LVT at Hometown Vet and has been working here since November 2020. During her senior year of high school, she took an Animal Science academy class and then went to the Veterinary Technician program at NVCC. She graduated and received her license in 2011. She has always had a love for animals and knew from age 5 she would only work with animals. She has a cat named Skylark and a betta fish named Oneder. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with friends, at church, or traveling to see family and the world.
Amanda Miller, our Head Receptionist, has worked at Hometown for 4 years. She has always had a strong love for animals and even as a kid dreamed of working with them. She has been working with animals since she was in high school. She is a proud dog mom of her loving bull dog, Scarlet. In her free time she likes to spend time with her fiancé, spend time with her niece and nephew, and being outdoors.
